本学科教授 片山正通先生が”LOUIS VUITTON Men’s  Fall-Winter 2025 Show” ショー会場をデザインしました。

ファレル・ウィリアムス氏とNIGO氏のコラボレーションによるLOUIS VUITTON  Men’s Fall-Winter 2025のショー会場デザインをWonderwallが担当しました。 テーマは「Japan」「archive」「Endless Discovery」で、会場はルーブル美術館のCour Carreeに設置された巨大テント。デザインはルイ・ヴィトンと日本の関係に着目し、歴史的な要素を現代に再解釈。伊勢神宮の遷宮、円相、陰影を参考に、日本の空間哲学を表現した。 エントランスではNIGO氏が再解釈したダミエパターンを纏ったミラーが歴史的建築を映し出し、内部は円形ランウェイやリング形状の光天井が設置され、アーカイブボックスが放射状に配置された。これらはファレル氏、NIGO氏、ルイ・ヴィトンのインスピレーション源を展示し、ショーでは背景としても機能。中央ステージではオーケストラ演奏が披露され、物語性を強調。ファッションショーとアーカイブ展示が融合するハイブリッドな空間設計により、「Endless Discovery」を体現した唯一無二の空間が生まれた。

Wonderwall was responsible for designing the venue for the ’LOUIS VUITTON Men’s Fall-Winter 2025 Show’. Wonderwall was responsible for designing the venue for the LOUIS VUITTON  Men’s Fall-Winter 2025 Show, a collaboration between Pharrell Williams and NIGO. The design centered around the themes of “Japan,” “archive,” and “Endless Discovery,” with the venue being a massive tent set up in the historic Cour Carree of the Louvre Museum. The concept focused on the historical relationship between Louis Vuitton and Japan, reinterpreting traditional elements in a modern context. Inspired by the ritual rebuilding of Ise Shrine, the enso (circle), and the interplay of light and shadow, the design expressed the philosophy of Japanese spatial aesthetics. At the entrance, mirrors adorned with a reinterpretation of the Damier pattern by NIGO reflected the surrounding historic architecture, creating a space where reality and illusion overlapped. Inside, a circular runway and a ring-shaped illuminated ceiling took center stage, while archive boxes were arranged in a radial layout. These boxes displayed sources of inspiration for Pharrell, NIGO, and Louis Vuitton, doubling as a frosted backdrop during the show. At the center, a 20-meter-diameter stage hosted an orchestral performance, enhancing the narrative depth of the event.This hybrid space, merging a fashion show and an archive exhibition, seamlessly connected the past, present, and future, embodying the theme of “Endless Discovery” in a truly unique way.
